Cranleigh

Civil & Infrastructure Design for 2 Phases totalling 274 Dwellings

About This Project

Location:

Longhurst Park, Horsham Road, Cranleigh

We were initially appointed to the first Phase of this Development back in 2017.
Comprising of 149 dwellings, the site was greenfield and bordering the extent of the
much sought after area of Cranleigh in Surrey.

Emerging from a sensitive Planning process, compliance with Conditions and Local
Policy was uncompromising, leading to a challenging design process of providing a
high quality Development of optimum Sales value, whilst ensuring efficient and
economic design. The balance of Value Engineering and Aesthetics was a constant
consideration for the whole design team, requiring effective communication and
coordination.

The success of the first Phase led to a second adjoining Phase of 125 dwellings.
Whilst the SUDs systems between the two phases remained mostly separate,
highways and foul drainage were extended and a secondary rural
pedestrian/cycleway link established.

A Balance of Value Engineering & Aesthetics

In a much sought after area of Surrey, this greenfield site required careful consideration and coordination of Value Engineering & Aesthetics from all Design Disciplines.
